A metal workshop founded in the 19th century, Carl Auböck is still situated in its original premises in Vienna, with the fourth generation of the family now at the helm. The company is famous for the modernist designs designed in the 1950s by one of the best-known figures of Austrian modernism Carl Auböck II (1900–1957).
Made from solid brass, these sculptural wedge-shaped bookends were made from his original cast and boast a polished surface that contrast perfectly with their darker, patinated edge.
