Joey Scandizzo Salon

Joey Scandizzo Salon

With its sleek terrazzo flooring, soft curves and subdued colour palette, the Joey Scandizzo Salon has reopened with a beautifully designed space of understated opulence. Designed by Pete Kennon of Kennon, the old interior was stripped back to expose the existing and beautiful Victorian Italianate building which lent a newfound volume to the interior. Meticulously restored ceiling cornices and ornate archways are complimented by a custom marmarino plaster finish, while the bold use of dark grey terrazzo for both floors and furniture seamlessly tie everything together.

At the front of the salon, Kennon designed a series of arched niches that function as intimate booths with soft lighting having a therapeutic effect on clients. The washing area offers clients something a little different as the arches give way to metallic wall panelling and dichroic glass creating a fun and energetic atmosphere. Every inch of the salon has been thoughtfully designed to ensure its community feels welcome and to allow each and every client to relax and focus on what matters most, their own wellbeing.
