The Viennese workshop of Carl Auböck combines traditional craftsmanship with modern design. A metal workshop founded in the 19th century, Carl Auböck is still situated in its original premises in Vienna, with the fourth generation of the family now at the helm. The company is famous for the modernist designs designed in the 1950s by one of the best-known figures of Austrian modernism Carl Auböck II (1900–1957). The fourth generation workshop of Carl Auböck brings new uses to familiar forms. The elegant design reveals fresh functionality for a letter opener with the addition of a gripping loop. The swoop of brass makes for a refined bookmark and a striking desk accent; you can even tuck your daily to-do list under the clip.
