Large Paperclip
The Viennese workshop of Carl Auböck combines traditional craftsmanship with modern design. A metal workshop founded in the 19th century, Carl Auböck is still situated in its original premises in Vienna, with the fourth generation of the family now at the helm. The company is famous for the modernist designs designed in the 1950s by one of the best-known figures of Austrian modernism Carl Auböck II (1900–1957). The fourth generation workshop of Carl Auböck brings new uses and timeless whimsy to familiar forms. Designed in the 1960s and realised in brass, the Large Paperclip makes a striking desk accent when not burrowed in a book or acting as a bold alternative to the staple.
Please note this piece is handmade and each one will differ slightly. Imperfections on the surface of this item are evidence of the handmade production process and should not be considered defects.
